Doug Swanson, Sally's husband, is Sally's business manager and assistant. He retired from Naval Reactors, the headquarters organization of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, in 1996 after 28 years of service as a nuclear propulsion engineer, fiscal field representative, and assistant program manager. He then worked as a consultant serving federal government clients and retired from IBM as a Senior Managing Consultant in 2007. Doug holds a B.S. degree and a Master of Engineering (Electrical) degree from Cornell University, and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) degree from The American University.
